PERSHORE resounded to the sound of music at the weekend when 26 brass bands took part in a marathon concert.
The bands, both local and professional, played Pershore Abbey and the Angel Inn for a total of 24 hours.
Pershore Midsummer Brass, as the event is known, in now in its 15th year. It began as an attempt to foster brass bands in Worcestershire and to encourage tourism to Pershore.
"It was a wonderful occasion and we were lucky to have good weather for it," said organiser Gordon Hartley-Bennett.
