Colourful creations on display

From the archive, first published Friday 8th Jul 2005.

CREATIVE students in Malvern are showing the fruits of their labour in a vast array of their colourful, weird and wonderful artwork which has gone on show.

Malvern Hills College in the town's Albert Road North has a total of about 700 art students a term and each year they are invited to display one piece of their work. All of the graduating students' pieces are also going on show.

The college now has at least seven rooms full of their art on display - with everything from paintings, sculptures and textiles to jewellery ceramics, bookbinding and stained glass.

Head of art Caroline Park said she was delighted with the range and quality of work the students had produced.

"All the examiner's reports have been very positive and it's been exhausting putting the work up, but all worthwhile." The exhibition runs until tomorrow.
