`I'll be embarrassed when my dad comes to see it'

Popular TV presenter Gaby Roslyn is thrilled to be playing Sally in the stage version of the famous romantic comedy movie When Harry Met Sally.

"I'm a huge fan. It's one of my all time favourite films. I couldn't believe it when I was offered the part," said Gaby.

Touring Britain with actor Jonathan Wrather, Coronation Street heartthrob Joe Carter, Gaby describes the part of Sally as "a dream acting role".

"I love the show. I can't wait to get out of bed and go to work every day," she said.

This hilarious tale is of two New Yorkers who take a dozen years to answer the burning question - can a man and a woman sleep together and still be friends? It has been faithfully adapted from the Academy Award-winning film starring Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan.

"Everyone wants to know about the fake orgasm scene they remember from the film," said Gaby.

"It was terrifying to begin with but now I just go totally mad with it. I know I'll be embarrassed when my dad comes to see it though."

Gaby, who wants to go on combining TV presenting with acting, is doing what she's always wanted to do.

"I used to practice my Oscar speech when I was three," confessed Gaby, who now has a three-year-old daughter of her own.

As for ambitions, the star of the hit musical Chicago and well-known face of The Big Breakfast, said: "I want to do TV drama and I'd love to do film but above all I want to be a good mummy."

When Harry Met Sally is at Malvern Theatres from July 11-16. For tickets, call 01684 892277.
